Carriers often announce new plans to try and entice new customers or to get existing customers to switch/upgrade. Verizon’s latest announcement comes in the form of a new data plan which they are calling $55 for 5GB, which as the name already reveals is where customers will be able to get 5GB of data a month for $55.
Of course you won’t just get data only as you will also get unlimited talk and text, as well as carryover data which means that should you not be able to finish the 5GB that is allotted to you, you will be able to bring forward the remaining data to the next month. There is also safety mode which should help with data management, and according to Verizon, calls to Mexico and Canada are included in this plan.
Is this plan worth it? We guess that’s something you’ll have to figure out by yourself but if you’re on a more expensive plan or if your current plan isn’t enough for you and you want some of the features that we’ve mentioned above, perhaps this could be something to look at. According to Verizon, this plan is ideal as apparently 4 out of 5 people use less than 5GB of data a month, so if that describes you perfectly then perhaps this could be of interest to you.
Verizon expects the new $55 for 5GB plan to go live on their website starting on the 24th of January.
