Dubbed “Track Edit”, this feature is basically what its name suggests. Users who feel that certain songs could do without a lengthy intro or could be faster can now edit these songs and save the edited versions to a playlist. While the average music listener might not have much use for it, it might be useful for DJs looking to mix some songs.
It could also be useful for people who want to use certain songs for certain activities, such as sports or exercise where they can adjust a song’s tempo and length to ensure that only the high energy parts are there. Users will also have the ability to make changes on how a song fades in our out, so if you don’t like any gaps between tracks, this is one way to go about it.
Unfortunately these are the only details available at the moment as Tidal has not mentioned anything more, or when it will be made available to its users, but hopefully we won’t have to wait much longer.
