While Super Mario Run might have been an iOS exclusive at the start, Nintendo did state that they would eventually bring the game onto Android, although they did not say when. The good news is that you no longer have to wonder about that because Nintendo of Japan has confirmed that they are aiming for a March release.
In a post on Twitter, the company announced that Super Mario Run for Android will be released in March, but no specific dates in March was mentioned so we guess we’ll just have to wait and see. However in the meantime gamers who are interested in the game can go ahead and register their interest and be notified for when the game is made available.

We can only assume that the Android version of Super Mario Run will be similar to the iOS version. This means that the game is free to play, or at least the first three levels, after which players will have to fork out $9.99 to unlock the rest of the levels. Players are also expected to have an always-on connection to play the game which is unfortunately one of the biggest gripes many players have (along with the price tag).
