There aren’t a lot of non-Google smartphones that have received Android 7.1.1 Nougat yet and that honor has now been claimed by Sony. The company confirmed late last year its Xperia X smartphone would be the latest to get support for Sony’s Concept build of Android. Sony Xperia X is now the first smartphone besides the Nexus and Google Pixel devices to get the Android 7.1.1 Nougat update.

Android 7.1.1 Nougat MR1 for the Sony Xperia X reportedly carries build number 38.3.A.0.41 and feature several improvements and tweaks such as faster startup for the camera app, a restart button that comes up after the power button is held down, and the December Security Patch.

Reports also suggest that Sony has added PlayStation 4 Remote Play functionality to this version of Nougat. Bear in mind though that Sony hasn’t sent out this release to all owners of the Xperia X. Those who are based in Europe can get their handsets on Android 7.1.1 Nougat for Xperia X right now by downloading the company’s Concept Installer app from the Play Store.

It remains to be seen when Sony publicly releases this build of its Nougat update. Samsung may join the list later this month when it releases Android 7.1.1 for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge.
