[CES 2017] CES is definitely the time of the year to look forward to if you’re shopping about for a new TV. LG recently announced their new 4K TVs with Nano Cell technology, but if you’re more of a Sony fan and have enjoyed the company’s TV products in the past, you’ll be interested to learn of two new TVs the company has announced.
These new devices are the X930E and X940E and they are part of Sony’s 4KHDR TV lineup. The TVs will feature LED backlighting technology and will have the X1 Extreme processor to back it up. This X1 Extreme processor is said to offer 40% more real-time processing power compared to its predecessor, the X1.
This means that in terms of your visual content, the TV will always be adjusting itself in terms of contrast to try and create an image that is realistic and natural as much as possible. In case visual prowess isn’t enough for you in terms of features, the X930E and X940E TVs will also be powered by Google’s Android TV platform, essentially transforming them from mere displays to being much more than that.
Users will be able to access apps, TV shows, movies, and it is also compatible with Google Home so controlling it using voice commands will not be an issue. Unfortunately pricing and availability have yet to be determined at the time of posting.
