Some of the biggest tech companies on the planet will head to Barcelona next month to take part in the Mobile World Congress 2017. This stage is often used by most of them to unveil new products and Sony is one of them. The company has unveiled new devices at MWC in Barcelona in the past and it’s expected to do the same this year as well. Sony today confirmed when its Mobile World Congress 2017 press conference will take place.
Sony Mobile today announced that its press conference is going to take place on February 27th at 8:30 AM local time in Barcelona. It hasn’t confirmed when it’s going to announce at the press conference but we can reasonably expect to see new handsets there.
Many expected Sony to talk about new smartphones at the Consumer Electronics Show 2017 earlier this month but it didn’t say anything about new handsets. This led many to believe that Sony was simply saving up its announcements for MWC 2017 so there’s all the more reason to be excited about what it may have in the pipeline.
Recent reports suggest that Sony might unveil two mid-range Android smartphones at MWC 2017 alongside a flagship smartphone. The company has obviously confirmed nothing at this point in time so we’ll just have to wait until February 27th to find out for sure.
