According to Samsung’s official statement, “Samsung Electronics, as well as independent expert organizations who conducted their own investigation into various aspects of the Galaxy Note7 incidents, will share their findings. Samsung will discuss the findings of the investigations and unveil new measures Samsung has implemented in response to the incidents.”
The press conference will be held in Seoul, South Korea where it will be kicking off on the 23rd of January at 10 AM KST. What this means is that if you’re going to be tuning in from the US, it will actually be taking place on the 22nd of January at 8 PM ET or 5 PM PT, so you’ll want to mark those times down if you want to hear what Samsung has to say which can also be streamed from its website.
According to the a recent report, it was suggested that Samsung will probably announce that the battery was to blame, as opposed to earlier reports that said that the “aggressive design” of the phone was the culprit, but either way we guess we’ll be finding out soon enough.
