Samsung launched the Galaxy Beta Program late last year. The program enabled selected members to try beta Nougat firmware for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge. Samsung confirmed a few days ago when it shut down the program that it’s going to try and release Android 7.1.1 Nougat for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge in January. The company has now revised the user manuals of both handsets to highlight the changes made in Nougat.

Samsung has made the revised manuals available in English, German, and Dutch languages for the Galaxy S7 Edge while the revised Galaxy S7 manual only appears to be available in English at this point in time.

The manual highlights some of the changes that Samsung has made to the Nougat update for Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge. The changes include tweaks to the user interface, a handful of new features, and additional functionality. All of these has previously been revealed in the five beta Nougat builds that Samsung released for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge.

Samsung is yet to confirm precisely when it’s going to release Android 7.1.1 Nougat for its 2016 flagship. If all goes according to plan, we might see the company release this much-awaited OS update later this month.

Fingers crossed!
