Samsung today announced the launch of a new mid-range smartphone called the Galaxy C9 Pro. The company has officially confirmed the specifications and price of this device. Samsung says that the Galaxy C9 Pro is a “feature powerhouse” and that it has been developed for consumers who demand more from their smartphones. The Galaxy C9 Pro promises a great multimedia experience and great camera performance.
It’s powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage that can be increased using a microSD card. The handset features a 16 megapixel rear and 16 megapixel front camera, a 4,000mAh battery and it’s powered by Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
The Galaxy C9 Pro is actually the first Samsung smartphone to come with 6GB of RAM. The company says that this is one of the reasons why this handset provides a great multi-tasking experience. It also points out that the cameras are pretty good as well.
The front and rear 16 megapixel unit has a wide f1.9 aperture which enables users to take great pictures even in low light conditions. A dual LED flash is also onboard.
This is a dual-SIM LTE device which also features a USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The Galaxy C9 Pro has been launched in India only right now in Black and Gold colors. It will be released in the second half of February for INR 36,900 ($530).
