If you’ve been wondering how much free space you’re going to need on your console for the new Resident Evil game, you can stop wondering now because the Resident Evil 7 download size for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One has been confirmed today. There’s good news too, it’s not as hefty as many of you would have thought it would be.
The Resident Evil 7 download size for PlayStation 4 is 20.7GB while the game requires 20.21GB of free space on the Xbox One. The download size for PC has not yet been revealed but you can reasonably expect it to be below 24GB.
It’s surprising to see that the entire game has been packed in a compact download size given that most major games these days tend to come in at more than 40GB. The beta versions of these games normally come in at 20GB so this is impressive, to say the least.
Xbox One owners would also be interested in finding out that it was confirmed recently that Resident Evil 7 is an Xbox Play Anywhere game which means if you buy a digital copy for the Xbox One you’ll get a PC copy for free via the Windows 10 Store.
Resident Evil 7 is going to be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on January 24th, 2017.
