There are some gamers who enjoy listening to a game’s soundtrack while playing the game because they believe that this helps with the overall experience. Then there are some gamers who prefer playing their own music because maybe it helps put them in the mood or helps them focus for certain events like competitions, raids, etc.
If you’re in the latter camp you’ll be pleased to learn that the folks at Niantic have issued a small update to Pokemon GO for Android. This patch will allow users to play music while playing the game. Prior to this there was a bug in which when players launched the app while having music playing, the app would pause the music and instead just play Pokemon GO’s music and sounds.
It’s not a big deal but if you’re walking around with headphones we reckon it could get annoying after a while. It also seems that the problem might not have been with the app itself, but rather with the Unity 3D engine. Unity Technologies released a fix for this a few weeks ago, but it seems that it is only recently that Niantic got around to incorporating it into their app.
In any case the update should already be live so hit up the Google Play Store if you want to get your hands on the latest version of the game.
