As it stands Activision has made pretty much every Call of Duty game backwards compatible on the Xbox One. There is one title that many gamers and fans of the franchise are hankering for and that is Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, and this is something that Xbox boss Phil Spencer has been asking for as well.
In response to gamers asking for the game, Spencer replied on Twitter by saying, “Please don’t take my lack of response on BO2 as a lack of caring, I really want to see this come to BC.” However exactly when will Activision get around to making Black Ops 2 backwards compatible remains to be seen, if at all.

That being said, we should remind you guys that backwards compatible titles are really up to the developer or publisher, as Microsoft has alluded to in the past, so what this means is that if Activision decides they don’t want to make Black Ops 2 backwards compatible, there’s really not much Microsoft can do about it.
However with many gamers seemingly calling out for the game, hopefully Activision will get around to it. In the meantime the Call of Duty titles that are backwards compatible include Call of Duty 2, Call of Duty 3, Call of Duty: Black Ops, and Call of Duty: World at War.
