Many expected NVIDIA to make some GPU-related announcements at the Consumer Electronics Show 2017 in Las Vegas but AMD hogged the spotlight with its unveiling of the Vega graphics processor. It appears that NVIDIA decided not to get bogged down in the CES news cycle so the latest reports are suggesting that its next-generation GeForce GTX 1080 Ti graphics card might be released in early March. NVIDIA is expected to launch the new graphics processor possibly at the PAX East conference.

According to the latest reports, NVIDIA is going to formally launch the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti on March 10th at the PAX East conference. This bit of information apparently comes from an NVIDIA AIB partner employee.

It would certainly make sense for the company to unveil its next-generation graphics processor at PAX East, it’s an event for gamers so it’s going to be the perfect stage for unveiling the GTX 1080 Ti.

The same NVIDIA (Authorized Board Partners) employee has apparently also revealed that the new graphics card is going to be available for purchase from all vendors on day one. Those who want one will be able to pick one up from the first day of availability.

None of this has officially been confirmed by NVIDIA as yet so take this information with a grain of salt until we hear more from the company itself.
