We’ve seen a few rumors about the Nokia P1. It’s believed to be a high-end smartphone that HMD Global has in the pipeline. HMD Global is the Finnish company that has licensed the Nokia brand and will now use it to sell smartphones. According to a new report, the high-end Nokia P1 flagship is going to be launched at Mobile World Congress 2017. Its specifications have been leaked as well.
The rumor claims that the Nokia P1 is based on the Sharp Aquos Xx3 that was released in Japan several months back. However, it’s said to have more powerful specs including but not limited to the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, 6GB of RAM, and up to 256GB of onboard storage.
Nokia P1 may also feature a Zeiss-certified 22.6 megapixel rear camera, a 5.3 inch display with either Full HD or 2K resolution packaged inside a dust and water-resistant body. It may have a 3,500mAh battery and a fingerprint scanner on the right side.
The handset is expected to run Android 7.0 Nougat straight out of the box. The rumor claims Nokia P1 is going to cost $800 and $950 for the 128GB and 256GB storage models respectively. The launch is expected to take place at the Mobile World Congress 2017 next month but it’s unclear when the handset is going to be released to the public.
