According to the rumors, Nokia is expected to introduce new handsets at MWC 2017 next month. One of those handsets is the Nokia P1 which is rumored to be the company’s flagship phone that is also said to be packing Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 chipset under the hood.
Turns out the rumors might have been right because according to a reports, it seems that Nokia China on Weibo might have confirmed the handset. The company’s Weibo account was replying to their fans in which it seems that they might have accidentally let the cat out of the bag a bit earlier than expected.
The translation seems a bit iffy but basically it sounds like Nokia is asking fans to remain patient and wait for the announcement, which presumably will be at MWC 2017. Given that 2017 flagship phones are more than likely to pack the Snapdragon 835, we guess this was pretty much a given anyway.
Interestingly enough it seems that the company has suggested that they might have new Windows-based handsets to announce as their Weibo account asked users to follow them for Nokia Windows news. Once again we’re not sure about the translation so maybe something was lost along the way, but in any case do check back with us during MWC for the details.
