Nokia 6 Registrations Reportedly Close To 1 Million Mark

The first Nokia Android smartphone that HMD Global comes charging out the door with is the Nokia 6 that was announced earlier this month. However instead of dazzling us with amazing hardware specs and features, the Nokia 6 feels more like a mid-range affair, but apparently that did not stop 250,000 people registering their interest within 24 hours.

Turns out that maybe not everyone needs a beast of a smartphone because according to the latest reports, it seems that a few days ahead of its flash sale, registration for the phone is said to be closing in on 1 million. This registration will see customers put a deposit of $9 on the phone, after which the $9 will be deducted from the $245 price tag when they complete their purchase.

Of course how many customers actually end up going through with the purchase remains to be seen, but we guess for now we can take the number of registrations as a positive sign that the Nokia brand is still strong enough to warrant this much interest despite not having a phone in the market for the past couple of years.
