It appears that Lenovo has a new tablet in the pipeline. Reports about the Lenovo Tab3 8 Plus first started to appear online in September last year. It’s believed that this is going to be the successor to Lenovo’s Tab3 8 which is a device meant for the budget conscious consumer. It appears that the Lenovo Tab3 8 Plus is going to have slightly better specifications and could be considered as a decent mid-range tablet as far as the specifications are concerned.
An unreleased Lenovo tablet assigned with model number TB-8703F has appeared on the benchmarking website Geekbench. It’s believed to be the upcoming Tab3 8 Plus.
Specs mentioned in the listing include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor with 3GB RAM, a full HD display, up to 64GB of storage, an 8 megapixel rear and a 5 megapixel front camera as well as Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.
The benchmark test does mention that the Tab3 8 Plus has a single-core and multi-core performance score of 935 and 4667 respectively. If you follow these figures then you’ll know that this is going to pass off as a respectable mid-range Android tablet.
It’s unclear at this point in time when Lenovo is going to launch the Tab 3 8 Plus and how much it’s going to cost but it’s likely that we’ll get to see the new tablet at the Mobile World Congress 2017 in Barcelona next month.
