If the Nintendo Switch hopes to get off the ground and running, it will definitely need a bunch of games that gamers can play at the start, or at least within a short amount of time following its release. The console is expected to launch with titles like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and 1-2 Switch, but what else is in store for the console?
The good news is that if you’ve enjoyed Nintendo’s Fire Emblem series, you’ll be pleased to learn that Nintendo has confirmed that they have a new Fire Emblem title in the works for the Switch. The bad news? As you can see in the image above, the game will only be arriving in 2018, and there is no mention of when exactly in 2018 either.
Details of the game is scarce at the moment but we expect more will be revealed later on in the year. So far some of the confirmed games for the Switch include EA’s FIFA, Bethesda’s Skyrim, Splatoon 2, and other first-party titles such as Super Mario Odyssey and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, just to name a few.
So far initial impressions of the console have been largely positive. Some were initially skeptical about how small the JoyCons were, but upon using it many have since stated that it is surprisingly comfortable. There are some who have taken issue to its $300 price tag, but we guess we’ll have to wait and see if this will truly matter upon the console’s release which is set for the 3rd of March, 2017. In the meantime Nintendo has announced Fire Emblem Heroes for mobile devices that will be coming out next month.
