Heads up Mac users, it seems that in addition to releasing iOS 10.2.1, Apple has also announced the release of macOS 10.12.3. Given its version number it looks like this seems to be a relatively small update that will bring about various bug fixes and improvements, so don’t expect any groundbreaking new features just yet.
That being said, it looks like the update does address one of the problems that MacBook Pro users are facing, which is with regards to the automatic graphics switching between the onboard GPU and the discrete GPU. This fix is aimed more at users of the 2016 15-inch MacBook Pro, so if you have been having problems with the switching between GPUs then this should hopefully address that.
Also while it was not mentioned in the changelog, it has been speculated by some that the update should also address the weird bug in Safari that led to Consumer Reports finding extremely varied battery times during their testing of the laptop. An update to their recommendation revealed that Apple had given them the fix to the bug, so chances are it could be included in macOS 10.12.3 as well.
In any case the update should already be live so fire up your Mac and download it if you haven’t done so already.
