According to the post on Lyft’s blog, “That’s right: When requesting a ride, you no longer have to fumble through multiple apps to find the name or address of wherever it is you need to go. Just sync your calendar once and you’re all set.” Basically the details of the ride will be filled out for you if you sync your calendar with the app, which should save you some time in the process.
However as Lyft points out, this only works with your phone’s native calendar app, meaning that if you’re an iPhone user that uses Google Calendar, you’ll need to make sure that Google Calendar is synced with your iOS calendar first for the feature to work properly. If you’re wondering why this feature sounds familiar, earlier this year Uber announced a similar feature, but if you’re more of a Lyft user (or if you plan to make the switch), you won’t have to worry about lacking certain features.
