[CES 2017] If you’re in the market for a new pair of headphones, Logitech has announced the G533 wireless gaming headset that they will be launching at CES 2017. With its wireless capabilities, this makes it ideal for gamers who are on laptops as it means less cables to deal with. It will also prove to be a boon for desktop gamers or gamers on console where having cable is messy.
According to Logitech, the G533 will feature Logitech’s Pro-G driver. They claim that these drivers “excel at separation and detail, directionality and imaging, delivering audio like no other headset in its category”. These are traits that gamers look for in gaming headsets, and also what separates gaming headsets from more conventional headsets.
By separating audio and directionality, it will help gamers identify where the enemy is (if they’re good enough), so the sound of footsteps to the right could indicate an enemy around the corner, and will let gamers prepare themselves. The headphones will also feature DTS Headphone X technology with 7.1 surround sound.
As for the battery life, Logitech is boasting that the G533 will last up to 15 hours on a single charge, which is pretty impressive. It also has a range of 15 meters which we guess should be far enough for most gamers. Priced at $150, the Logitech G533 is expected to go on sale later this month.
