In just about a week from now, President-elect Donald Trump will attend his inauguration ceremony to officially take over the top job in the country from outgoing President Barack Obama. Millions of people have historically flocked to the inauguration venue every four years to watch the transfer of power. Many watch it at home as well and if you’re one of them, you will be happy to find out that this year it’s possible for you to live stream the inauguration on Twitter.
Twitter is living up to its live streaming aspirations by teaming up with PBS to offer a live stream of the Donald Trump inauguration. The live stream will be available through Twitter’s mobile apps as well as at inauguration.twitter.com.
This isn’t the first time that Twitter is going to live stream an event that millions of people will be tuning into. We’ve seen the microblogging network do the same for sporting events and even the presidential debates prior to the election. It has been working hard to establish itself as a player in the live streaming arena.
If you’re interested in watching the proceedings, you will be able to live stream Donald Trump inauguration at 11 am ET on Friday, January 20th via Twitter apps and the aforementioned website.
