The LG Music Flow speakers were released in 2015 and they were one of the first to have support for Google’s Cast platform. The company hasn’t really been quick in adding new features to this music system and many owners have been complaining about this. They wanted the company to add support for Google Home and multi-room audio. LG has finally listened to its customers and confirmed that the Music Flow Google Home and multi-room support will arrive soon.
Google enabled third-party manufacturers of Cast-enabled devices to add multi-room features last year but LG was quiet about whether or not it would update Music Flow with this feature. Rival Sony went ahead and did that for its multi-room system and even confirmed that Google Home will be supported soon. LG made no such announcement until today.
It has now confirmed through the Music Flow support community that customers can rest assured, it’s going to bring multi-room functionality and Google Home support in the near future. This will enable users to create their own multi-room audio setups using the Google Home app and also enable them to play music on these speakers using voice commands.
LG has confirmed that it’s going to roll out both of these features through an over-the-air update for the Music Flow speakers by the end of next month.
