Blizzard’s Overwatch has quite a few maps to keep players interested and entertained. However if you’re looking to test your skills on a brand new map, then you’ll want to update your copy of Overwatch ASAP because in an announcement by Blizzard, the latest patch for Overwatch will introduce the “Oasis” map to the game.
According to Blizzard’s description of the map, “Oasis is one of the world’s most advanced cities, a shining jewel rising from the Arabian Desert. A monument to human ingenuity and invention, researchers and academics from around the region came together to found a city dedicated to scientific progress without restraints. The city and its inhabitants are governed by the Ministries, a collection of brilliant minds who possess many secrets, which have attracted the interest of powerful organizations from around the world.”
Basically Oasis will be a control map. The map has actually been testing on the Public Test Realm for a while now, but if you weren’t part of the PTR or if you did not know, then we guess this should feel like a brand new experience. One of the interesting features of the map is an active highway built into the map, which means that not only will you have to keep an eye out for the enemy, but you’ll have to watch for cars as well. The patch is already live so do check it out if you haven’t done so already.
