If you’ve ever been on a flight that offers in-flight WiFi services, you know that the prices that they charge are pretty much cutthroat. However if you desperately need internet, we guess you really don’t have much of a choice. The good news is that if you fly JetBlue, you can say goodbye to expensive WiFi, and hello to free WiFi.
In announcement by JetBlue, it seems that the company will be offering free in-flight WiFi for all of its domestic flights. This means that you no longer have to satisfy yourself with what is being offered in terms of entertainment as you can use the internet to seek out your own entertainment, whether it be surfing the web, watching YouTube, and so on.
JetBlue’s free WiFi began back in 2013 and in 2017, that service has now rolled out to all of its domestic flights. We’re not sure how fast the WiFi is, especially if everyone is going to be using it at once, but we guess since it’s free it’s going to be hard to complain, although JetBlue did state that it will be at broadband speeds so we guess it won’t be anything too fancy.
According to a statement made by Jamie Perry, vice president of marketing, JetBlue, “It’s 2017 and our customers expect to be connected everywhere, whether that be from the comfort of their sofa or 35,000 feet above it. That’s why we’re so proud that JetBlue is now the only airline to offer free, high-speed Wi-Fi, live TV and movies for all customers on every plane.”
