Now it looks like Huawei wants in on the Tango action as well because in a recent interview with Android Authority, it seems that Huawei has confirmed that they too are planning a Tango-based smartphone. When exactly will it launch remains to be seen, and apart from the Tango AR technology, it is unclear what kind of specs or features we might be looking at.
So far all the Tango-based devices pack some pretty impressive hardware, so there’s a good chance that Huawei’s Tango phone could be its next flagship. However as Android Authority points out, the number of apps that can take advantage of Google’s Tango technology is still very low, which they have counted to be around 36 apps.
It is possible that maybe because the technology is still young that developers aren’t rushing to take advantage of it right away. However if Pokemon GO’s success is any indication, AR-based apps and games certainly do have a promising future.
