The internet search giant announced Google Assistant several months ago, the AI assistant has been designed to help users get things done easily across different contexts, places, and situations. Google has confirmed at the Consumer Electronics Show 2017 in Las Vegas that Google Assistant for Android TV is coming soon. The AI assistant will soon enable users to bark voice commands at their Android TV smart TVs and set-top boxes.

Google Assistant for Android TV will be rolled out through an upcoming update on support smart TVs and set-top boxes powered by Google’s TV platform. Users will be able to ask Google Assistant for help so that they can easily enjoy the content that they want faster than ever.

Google Assistant for Android TV will be able to help with more than just playing media, it can also help plan your day by responding to voice commands like “How long will it take to get to work?.” Playing content will be easily as well, just ask Assistant to “Play House of Cards on Netflix” and it will take care of the rest.

The company has said that Google Assistant for Android TV will be out in the coming months, it will be made available to all Android TVs in the United States running Android 6.0 Marshmallow and up. It will also land on the NVIDIA Shield.
