According to the report out of Korea, it has been rumored that Samsung will now be pushing the launch of its Galaxy X smartphone to the first half of 2018. This means that we still have about a year or so of waiting before we are able to get our hands on it. The reason is because of the components that takes awhile to mass produce.
The component in question is polyimide film that is expected to be made by Kolon Industries who according to the report, is only expected to finish construction of its production facilities next year, which is when mass production will begin, and it is also why we might not be able to expect the phone this year.
The rumors are certainly all over the place at the moment regarding the Galaxy X, so it’s hard to decide which is the more accurate so take it with a grain of salt for now. However last we heard, the Galaxy X could be a limited run device with an initial shipment of 100,000 units which is an understandably cautious figure considering it would be the first of its kind.
