The day that many Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge owners have been waiting for is finally here, at least for owners in India. Samsung announced last week that it has now officially started rolling out the Android 7.0 Nougat update for these flagship devices. It is gradually rolling out the firmware update in more markets across the globe. Today, it’s India’s turn. Folks in the country can finally get a taste of Nougat on their Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge smartphones.
Samsung has released Android 7.0 Nougat for its 2016 flagships in South Korea, Malaysia, the United Arab Emirates, China as well as some countries in Europe. Those who own the flagship in India will soon get a notification informing them that the Nougat update is now available for their handsets.
Samsung is rolling out build number G930FXXU1DQAZ and G935FXXU1DQAZ for the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 Edge in India respectively. As expected, this is a hefty update coming in at over 1.2GB.
It brings all of the bells and whistles that users have been promised with Nougat as well as user interface tweaks that Samsung has made aside from the usual slew of performance and stability improvements.
The Android 7.0 Nougat update for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge is now rolling out for users in India. They should receive the OTA notification later today if they haven’t already.
