Fans of the Final Fantasy franchise will be interested to find out that it has been confirmed today that Final Fantasy XII remaster is going to be released for the PlayStation 4. This was the final game in the franchise that was released for the PlayStation 2 all those years ago. Square Enix is now going to tidy it up a little bit and release it for the PlayStation 4.
Square Enix made the announcement today at a special event in Tokyo where the 30th anniversary of this franchise was being celebrated. It confirmed when the game is going to be released in Japan and other markets like North America and Europe.
The publisher also confirmed that Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age features updated characters and cutscenes, improved environments, runs at a respectable 1080p, brings a new soundtrack in 7.1 surround, and also features a trial mode in which players can take on monsters in up to 100 successive rounds.
Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age is based on the international version which was released a year later in Japan after the original game came out for the PlayStation 2. It brought additional License Boards, summon controls, a new guest character, and more.
Square Enix has confirmed today that the Final Fantasy XII PS4 release is going to take place on July 13th in Japan and July 11th in Europe and North America.
