This is according to Google’s Chromium Projects website where they stated, “All Chromebooks launching in 2017 and after as well as the Chromebooks listed below will work with Android apps in the coming future.” They also posted a bunch of different models from a variety of OEMs such as Acer, ASUS, HP, and Lenovo, just to name a few, all of which will support Android apps.
We guess it shouldn’t be surprising that this is happening as we reckon it was only a matter of time before support became mainstream, but it’s good to see Google acknowledge it and given that we are already in 2017, this should prove to be an interesting year for Chromebook devices and for those looking to get their hands on it.
In fact at CES 2017 earlier this month, a couple of Chromebook devices were announced which includes the Samsung Chromebook Plus and Chromebook Pro, and the ASUS Chromebook Flip C302CA.
