Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 is expected to be the company’s flagship mobile chipset for 2017. Details are scarce and unknown for the most part, but as per Qualcomm’s tweet the other day, they are expected to detail the chipset at CES 2017 which kicks off later this week. In the meantime it seems that we can confirm at least one phone that will take advantage of it.
In a tweet by ASUS, it seems that the company has more or less confirmed that they will have one phone with Snapdragon 835 launching at CES 2017. It is unclear as to what ASUS phone will be using the Snapdragon 835, but chances are it won’t be the alleged ZenFone 4 that was recently spotted at TENAA in China.

Also we should note that to be fair, ASUS did not call out the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 specifically in their tweet. However given that the Snapdragon 820/821 was 2016’s flagship, and with Qualcomm pretty much confirming that they will be unveiling the Snapdragon 835, it probably isn’t a stretch to imagine that ASUS is tweeting about it.
In any case we will be live at CES 2017, so be sure to check back with us later in the week to see what companies like ASUS and Qualcomm have to announce!
