Of course this doesn’t mean there doesn’t exist devices out there that run Froyo, but perhaps not enough to offer up any meaningful insight. The next lowest version of Android, which is Android 2.3 Gingerbread, is still on the list at 1% distribution, so we wouldn’t be surprised if it was the next to go.
That being said, Android 7.0 Nougat has seen an increase in distribution figures from 0.4% last month to 0.7% this month. It still hasn’t broken the 1% mark yet but we guess it’s getting there. Interestingly enough it seems that while Nougat might be the latest, Android 6.0 Marshmallow has actually increased in distribution from 26.3% last month to 29.6% although we can’t be sure why.
Apart from Nougat and Marshmallow increasing in distribution, Lollipop, KitKat, Jelly Bean, Ice Cream Sandwich, and Gingerbread have all decreased. Hopefully come February 2017 Nougat will be able to break that 1% mark, especially with all the Nougat updates that are being rolled out.
