The other day HMD Global announced the Nokia 6 Android smartphone. Given the handset’s name, we guess we can kind of see where HMD is going with this and thanks to a couple of images posted on Anzhou.cn (via Phone Radar), it seems that another upcoming Nokia phone might have been leaked.
According to the report, it has been suggested that this particular device in question is the Nokia 8, which like we said given the Nokia 6’s name, the Nokia 8 moniker doesn’t really come as a surprise. Also unlike the Nokia 6 which feels like an upper-mid range phone, the Nokia 8 is packing some serious hardware under the hood.
The report is claiming that the phone will feature a 5.7-inch QHD display (versus the Full HD on the Nokia 6) as well as a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 under the hood. Given that the Snapdragon 835 has been announced, we wonder why HMD did not go with it, but it is possible that pricing is one of the reasons.
Other rumored features include a 24MP rear-facing camera, a 12MP front-facing camera, and 64GB/128GB storage options. Previous rumors have suggested that Nokia could be working on a voice assistant of their own called Viki, but either way check back with us during MWC 2017 where Nokia is expected to unveil more phones.
