We’ve been hearing rumors for a few months now that Apple is going to launch the new 2017 iPads in the first quarter of the new year. The company hasn’t confirmed anything about new tablets at this point in time so it still can’t be said for sure. A new report claims that the 2017 iPads release might have been delayed. Apple is expected to launch three new iPads this year.
The rumor mill believes that Apple is going to launch new 9.7, 10.5 and 12.9 inch iPads in 2017. May believe that the new tablets will be out in the first quarter of 2017, they are expecting them to be unveiled at an event in March.
Taiwanese trade publication DigiTimes reports today that the internal components for these tablets are still in the planning stage so it’s going to take a lot of time before these tablets hit the production line and are then ready for a public release. It claims that Apple may not release the 2017 iPads until the second half of this year.
The publication also claims that the new 12.9 and 10.5 inch tablets will be powered by Apple’s improved A10X processor. It doesn’t mention what processor the company will go with for the 9.7 inch iPad.
None of this has been officially confirmed by Apple so take it with a grain of salt. Apple hasn’t said anything about its tablet plans for 2017 as yet.
