Stars Wars: Battlefront is a fun game that’s certainly going to appeal to fans of the Star Wars franchise. If you happen to own an Xbox One and didn’t purchase this game when it came out, perhaps you would like to take it for a spin now that it has gone free for Xbox One, the only caveat being that you’ll need an EA Access subscription. The game has been added to the EA Access vault which means members can play it for as long as they want without actually having to buy it.
The standard edition of Star Wars: Battlefront has now been added to the free game vault of EA Access. It doesn’t include any add-on content so if players want additional content they will need to pay for it.
It’s interesting to note that Battlefront has been added to the vault days before Rogue One: A Star Wars Story film is due to hit the big screen on December 16th. A Rogue One DLC has already been released for Battlefront last week, it brings characters and content from the upcoming movie.
It’s unclear right now if Star Wars: Battlefront will also be added to Origin Access. It’s a program that’s similar to EA Access, only that it’s for PC. EA Access costs $5 per month or $30 per year, it provides access to an expanding vault of free games as well as the ability to play EA games before they’re released.
