Last month it was hinted that the Spotify app for the Samsung Gear S3 could be released in December. Given that we’re about more than halfway into December, where is the app? The good news is that the wait is over because it looks like the Spotify app for the Gear S3 is finally available for download.
For those wondering about the app and its significance on the Gear S3 smartwatch, basically this gives users the ability to control the app using the smartwatch. You’ll be able to control the playback from your smartwatch instead of having to reach for your phone all the time, which might come in handy if you’re exercising or if it’s not that convenient to reach for your phone.
To install the app on your Gear S3, you’ll have to fire up the Gear Manager app on your smartphone, head on over to the Galaxy Apps Store, search for Spotify, and you’ll be good to go. As noted by SamMobile, if you don’t see the app available yet, not to worry as it probably means that it is still rolling out to various locations around the world and it should eventually find its way to you by the end of the week, hopefully.
