A refresh of Samsung’s Galaxy A series is due and recent reports suggest that the company is going to make an official announcement about the Galaxy A (2017) series early next month. It appears that the company has scheduled the official unveil for this new series on January 5th. Samsung Malaysia has sent out invitations to the press which clearly reveal that the event is going to be all about the Galaxy A (2017).
There have been quite a few rumors and reports about the Galaxy A (2017) series so it’s not known for sure right now what the specifications and features of the Galaxy A3, Galaxy A5, and Galaxy A7 (2017) are going to be.
What we do know courtesy of a teaser sent out yesterday by Samsung Malaysia is that they’re going to be water resistant. This was first rumored a couple of weeks ago and it’s likely true. This will make the series the first mid-range Galaxy A lineup from Samsung to offer water resistance at a competitive price point.
Samsung Malaysia’s event in Kuala Lumpur takes place a few hours before Samsung’s press conference starts at the Consumer Electronics Show 2017 in Las Vegas. It’s likely that the company might talk about these devices during its CES 2017 press conference as well.
Pricing and availability information will finally be confirmed on January 5th.
