While there have been rumors about it, NVIDIA has been tightlipped about the existence of the GTX 1080 Ti graphics card. However, it appears that the company has confirmed the graphics card’s existence in a job posting on LinkedIn. NVIDIA was looking to hire a Senior Marketing Manager – GeForce, Gamer Loyalty & Advocacy and the listing mentioned a plan which would reward GTX 980 Ti customers by offering them the “first spot in line for 1080 Ti pre-orders.”
NVIDIA is no longer accepting any applications for that job posting so it’s likely going to be sorting through the candidates right now that it’s going to interview for this position.
The potential plan mentioned in the job posting would presumably reward NVIDIA GTX 980 Ti graphics card owners by giving them the ability to be among the first who get the chance to pre-order NVIDIA’s next high-end graphics card.
NVIDIA may also be planning a “Step Up” offer which would provide those customers with an additional incentive for upgrading to the new graphics card. NVIDIA is yet to announce the GTX 1080 Ti graphics card officially.
If reports are to be believed, the company is going to do this at its press conference in Las Vegas next month, it’s expected to go with the Consumer Electronics Show 2017 stage to show off its latest graphics card.
