Last week HMD Global unveiled the Nokia 150 feature phone. This is clearly not the Nokia phone that fans have been waiting for, but it is the latest Nokia handset that we have seen launched in awhile, at least ever since Microsoft acquired the mobile division of the company and only used its Lumia branding.
However for those wondering about Nokia’s flagship efforts, not to worry because thanks to leaked photos posted on Weibo (via PhoneArena), it seems that the company’s upcoming flagship might have been revealed. The handset is being referred to as the Nokia P and not much is known about it right now save for some key specs.
This includes the rumored use of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835, 6GB of RAM, and a 23MP rear-facing camera that uses a Zeiss lens. Nokia has released pretty high-end handsets in the past, but because of their decision to use Windows Phone instead of Android, they did not exactly see a ton of popularity, but hopefully with these specs and the use of Android could change that in 2017.
Nokia hs previously confirmed that they will be launching new handsets in 2017 and that they will actually be present at MWC 2017, so we guess we’ll have to wait until then for confirmation on whether or not these photos are real. Until then take it with a grain of salt.
