Unfortunately it seems that Nexus 6P users are reporting similar issues. According to several user reports, some owners of the Nexus 6P are also claiming that their devices are stuck in a bootloop and can’t seem to make it past the startup sequence. The devices reported are running on stable builds of Android 7.0 or 7.1.1, and it seems bad enough where they can’t even enter into recovery mode.
According to a Google rep posting on Reddit (via XDA Developers) about 3 months ago, apparently this is a hardware issue. “We understand that a very small number of users are experiencing a bootloop issue on your device. We are continuing to investigate the situation, but can confirm that this is strictly a hardware related issue. For those of you that are currently experiencing this, please contact your place of purchase for warranty or repair options.”
Huawei has yet to respond to the issue so it is unclear what the company plans to do. Some users however, seem convinced that it is a software issue, but either way there does not appear to be a fix for the problem at the moment.
