Nintendo’s NES Classic Edition mini-console has proven to be very popular this holiday season. The mini-console was officially announced a couple of months ago and ever since it was released it has been pretty hard to come by. Nintendo has been providing additional inventory but it quickly sells out. Following a flash sale at Urban Outfitters, it has now been confirmed that the NES Classic Edition will be available for purchase from Amazon’s physical bookstores.
Amazon has confirmed via Twitter that it’s going to have limited stock of the NES Classic Edition which it’s going to sell through its physical bookstores. Those who are interested in picking one up shouldn’t waste too much time because it’s likely going to be sold out shortly after Amazon starts selling it.
The only caveat here is that Amazon doesn’t actually have a nationwide network of physical bookstores. They are only located in three cities on the West Coast: San Diego, Portland, and Seattle. NES Classic Edition will be available in limited quantities at all three stores.
Those who can’t make it down to those locations will have to try their luck elsewhere. While Nintendo is officially selling the NES Classic for $60, the mini-console can be bought online from resellers for a few hundred dollars, but that’s just too much money for this product.
