The reports claim that wireless charging company Energous had teamed up with Apple supplier Dialog, and given that the majority of Dialog’s business come from Apple, it makes sense that there would be some kind of link. Now according to a report from AppleInsider, they have gotten more proof that Energous and Apple could somehow be linked.
This is based on a research note written by market analyst Louis Basenese. According to Basenese, he points out how Apple’s former Regulatory Certification Program Manager of seven years is now working with Energous. He also notes how back in March, Energous reached an agreement with another Apple manufacturing partner, Pegatron, to integrate wireless charging into certain product designs. A similar deal was inked with Foxconn a few months before that as well.
That being said, all of this is conjecture at this point in time. However there are many coincidences that seem to give the rumors more credibility. Take it with a grain of salt for now and maybe try not to get your hopes up just yet.
