Mass Effect is one of the more beloved franchises around today, so much so that when the folks at Bioware messed up the ending to the original trilogy, fans got so upset that the company was forced to release an update that would “fix it”. So as you can imagine, there is a lot of hope riding on Mass Effect: Andromeda being just as good, if not better.
For those who are curious to see more footage about the upcoming game, you’ll be pleased to learn that during The Game Awards 2016, a 5 minute gameplay trailer was released which showcases the game in most of its glory, and we have to say that it looks pretty damn good! If there is a new franchise to look forward to, this could be it.
In case you’re learning about the game for the first time, Mass Effect: Andromeda is not a continuation of the previous trilogy. It is expected to share the same universe, but will take place hundreds of years after the events in the previous games. This means that players get to embark on a brand new journey.
The release of Mass Effect: Andromeda was originally planned for a release this holiday season, but has since been delayed to 2017, so it looks like gamers will still have a bit of waiting to do before they can get their hands on the game.
