LG Unveils Their 2017 K-Series Of Mid-Range Handsets

Earlier this year LG took the wraps off a series of mid-range handsets that are part of its K-series line. Now that we are approaching the end of 2017 and the start of 2017, we guess we shouldn’t be surprised to learn that LG has a new set of K-series handsets that they plan on showing off at CES 2017 come January next year.

As with this year’s models, 2017’s models will also be of the mid-range variety, although we guess what’s considered mid-range next year is definitely “better” compared to what is being offered this year. The 2017 lineup includes the K10, K8, K4, K3, and the Stylus 3, all of which appear to be decently specced if you’re on a budget and are not expecting too much.

Starting with the LG K10, the handset will be powered by a MediaTek MT6750 processor with a 5.3-inch 720p HD display and 2GB of RAM. It will also come with 16/32GB of onboard storage, a 13MP rear-facing camera, a 5MP front-facing camera, and a 2,800mAh battery. Next is the LG K8 which is powered by a MSM8917 chipset with 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of native storage. We are also looking at a 5-inch HD display with a similar camera configuration as the LG K10.

Next up is the LG K4 which is powered by the MSM8909 chipset. It comes with 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, a 5-inch FWVGA display, and 5MP rear and front-facing cameras. As for the LG K3, it will be pretty much the same as the LG K4, except with a smaller 4.5-inch display and a 2MP front-facing camera. Last but not least is the Stylus 3 which has a 5.7-inch 720p HD display, a MT6750 processor, 3GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, a 13MP rear-facing camera, and an 8MP front-facing camera.

The handsets will also be running either Android 7.0 Nougat or Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. Pricing and availability have yet to be confirmed but we expect more should be revealed at CES 2017 next year.
