LG is one of the many companies that’s expected to showcase new flagship smartphones early next year. A new report suggests that LG might even push forward the G6 release to capitalize on the possibility that Samsung might not unveil the Galaxy S8 until April 2017. A purported render of the LG G6 has been leaked online today, possibly giving us our first glimpse at the design of this flagship handset.
LG fans will certainly be hoping that the company comes back swinging with the G6 as the G5 left a bit too much to be desired. They have high hopes from the company’s next flagship smartphone and it remains to be seen if it will meet expectations.
The leaked LG G6 render comes from Shai Mizrachi who has a solid tracking record with these things, he has leaked renders of flagship smartphones from LG and Samsung in the past as well.
This render suggests that the LG G6 is going to have a design that’s similar to its predecessor and the accompanying dimensions reveal that it’s going to be a bit slimmer than the G5 as well.
What it doesn’t do is give us a clue about LG’s plans on keeping the modular functionality it introduced with the LG G5 around for the next flagship. There have been conflicting reports about that recently so it remains to be seen whether modularity will be offered with the LG G6.
