While the Tekken franchise has mostly featured fights between humans, the game does have some odd characters like Kuma and Panda. With Nina Williams being added to the Tekken 7 roster, we guess it makes sense for both Kuma and Panda to make their return as well, which is exactly what will be happening.
In a recent upload to their YouTube page, Bandai Namco Entertainment America revealed that both Kuma and Panda will be added to the Tekken 7’s roster. The description of the video upload reads, “Kuma and Panda reunite and make their TEKKEN 7 debut! Who will it be, the Kuma Shinken master or Xiaoyu’s former bodyguard? The choice is unbearable!”
Safe to say that both character models feature some pretty significant graphics upgrades compared to previous Tekken games, so if you have a couple of minutes to spare, you can check it out for yourself in the video above. Tekken 7 had an initial limited release in Japanese arcades back in 2015, before an updated arcade version titled “Fated Retribution” was released earlier this year.
In the meantime for those living outside of Japan or who might prefer a home console or PC version, Tekken 7’s release for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC have been set for early 2017.
