There have been rumors recently that HTC might soon unveil some new products and the company is confirming that today with a teaser image that it has sent out to members of the tech press. The minimalist teaser image doesn’t reveal much about what the company is planning to unveil but it does confirm that HTC’s next big product announcement is going to take place on January 12th, 2017. It also mentions that the announcement is going to be “For U.”
HTC is sending some kind of a hint with this “For U” thing, because if you look closely, you’ll notice that the C in the HTC logo in the bottom right corner of this image is also mirrored to look like a U.
The company isn’t revealing anything at this point in time and isn’t even dropping big hints which can give us an idea of what to expect from this event. The line that accompanied this teaser only says: “Something big is coming from HTC…For U.”
The event is going to take place after the Consumer Electronics Show 2017 ends and about a month before the Mobile World Congress 2017. Clearly, HTC wanted to have the press cycle to itself and not have its announcement get tangled up in the plethora of announcements made at CES and MWC.
