If the rumors are true, according to a report from DigiTimes, it seems that those improvements could be shown off at CES 2017 which kicks off next Friday. According to the report, it has been suggested that HTC will be unveiling the HTC Vive 2 which is expected to come with some highly-requested features.
Those features include rumored 4K displays, which should help improve the sharpness and detail, as well as come with a built-in wireless transmitter which will allow users to use the HTC Vive without being worried about getting tangled up or tripping over cables. It is also said to sport a higher refresh rate of 120Hz instead of 90Hz in the current model.
Safe to say that this should obviously be taken with a grain of salt for now, but if you are still waiting to hop onto the VR bandwagon, perhaps the improvements made to the HTC Vive 2 could be worthy enough for your consideration.
