The Gran Turismo franchise is one of few racing game franchises (Need for Speed and Forza are some of the others) that are beloved by players all around the world, so safe to say that many gamers have been eagerly anticipating the release of Gran Turismo Sport. However in the meantime it seems that Sony decided to tease gamers by releasing a new trailer at PSX 2016.
As expected from Gran Turismo, the footage is beautiful and the graphics look amazing. The new trailer doesn’t really reveal anything new that they have not already announced, but it certainly does whet the appetite for the actual game, which unfortunately still does not have a solid release date.
Back in August, it was announced that Gran Turismo Sport was being delayed in which it was suggested that the game still needed extra work. Polyphony Digital’s Kazunori Yamauchi said that the game was the most ambitious undertaking the studio has ever embarked on, although we have to say that so far it looks great.
Following the announcement of the delay, digital pre-orders were being cancelled as there was still no specific date that the game would be released on, except that it would be some time in 2017. Until then we guess gamers will have no choice but to wait, but in the meantime maybe they can enjoy some of the in-game footage.
